Description

Maiorchino is a native DOP cheese, produced in Novara di Sicilia and on the pastures of Montalbano Elicona. It is born from an ancient blend of goat, sheep and cow’s milk — worked by hand according to a method that has never changed. Ageing takes place in ancient stone buildings, where time and microclimate do the rest. The straw-finishing rounds off its character: rustic rind, compact paste, a flavour that tells of the woods and pastures of the Nebrodi mountains.
